Biography of ANGELA CARTWRIGHT

Angela Cartwright was born in Altrincham Cheshire England on September 9, 1952. Her family moved to Toronto a year later then emigrated to Los Angeles when she was three. A neighbor encouraged Mrs. Cartwright to put Angela and her sister, talented Veronica Cartwright into children's fashion modeling which lead to roles for Angela in films like "Somebody Up There Likes Me" and the box office blockbuster "Sound of Music" as well as the successful television show "Make Room For Daddy."

This exposure got the attention of Irwin Allen who cast her in the role of daughter Penny Robinson in the semi-successful (ratings-wise) but forever remembered television classic Lost in Space, which ran for three years. Angela often shared the spotlight with television brother Bill Mumy in imaginative episodes like "My Friend Mr. Nobody" and "Princess of Space."

After Space she guest-starred in classic shows like "My Three Sons," "Adam-12," and "Room 222." Later she returned to TV dad Danny Thomas for a short-lived reunion show "Make Room For Grand Daddy" and then to producer Irwin Allen for a role in his 1979 sequel "Beyond the Poseidon Adventure" and, years after his passing in the Lost in Space movie.

Angela is married with two children and runs a very successful internet store. She appreciates her fans and often appears at conventions to sign autographs and pose for pictures as does sis Veronica Cartwright, who appeared in films like Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds " and the science fiction classic "Alien."
