What makes Batman such an interesting character and explains why the Dark Knight has become DCs flagship hero is how he can fit into widely different scenarios. For example, Batman can fight the Riddler in a self-contained detective story in one comic book issue and then join the Justice League to fight Darkseid in another. Seeing Batman, who has no superpowers, fighting besides Superman and Wonder Woman only makes Bruce Wayne more intriguing, a side of the character that all solo Batman movies have failed to adapt. With Afflecks Batman run now ending, The Brave and the Bold is DCs best chance of moving beyond The Dark Knight.
