Christian Bale "Batman" Batarang from The Dark Knight Franchise ( Warner Bros., 2005-2012 ). Original cast resin "copper" Batarang, measuring 4.5" x 1.75". This copper colored Batarang is a special "Grinding Batarang" that was cold cast in resin with copper powder to spark when Batman ( Christian Bale ) was seen crafting his Batarangs with his grinder. The first appearance of the Batarang is attributed to Detective Comics #31 ( 1939 ) and the signature weapon appeared and evolved ever since in subsequent comics, TV series, and the many iterations of Batman on the big screen. In Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy, the Batarang is represented as a shuriken or bat-shaped ninja throwing star. Exhibiting slight production wear to corners.
