Batman ( TV Series 1966-1968 )

A Bat-Respirator from the classic television series Batman. Respirators were used interchangeably by Batman ( Adam West ) and Robin ( Burt Ward ) in episode 102, 'Smack in the Middle', episode 245, 'Batman's Anniversary' and others.

The respirator consists of a fibreglass faceplate that covers the nose and mouth, and a pair of cylindrical aluminium canisters that are screwed in place. A sticker reading 'Oxygen' was previously attached to the bottom canister, though this has since been removed. A deteriorated rubber bite piece is fixed to the interior side. The lot shows minor wear due to production use and age, with small cracks in the fibreglass, and adhesive visible where the two canisters were previously glued together.
