Released theatrically ahead of it's (slightly altered) TV premiere, the feature-length pilot for the 1979-81 science-fiction series finds 20th-century astronaut Capt. William "Buck" Rogers (Gil Gerard) thawed out after spending over 500 years frozen in space. Before he knows it, Buck is caught up in the conflict between Earth and the ruthless Draconians.
