This is the fantastic vinyl Horizon "Creature from the Black Lagoon" model, pro-built by Infinity Models. We all know who the Creature is, one of Universal Studio's most famous monsters! This model was issued in 1994 - Horizon has been out of business for years, so this is a collectors item.

Sculpted by Taishiro Kiya, it is a perfect rendition of the Creature, in big 1/6 scale! Rest assured, this is not a recast. The model stands about 12" tall, and is mounted to the base via one brass peg, but is not permanently attached (so you can pick it up and look at it, of course!). The Creature from the Black Lagoon has been rendered in a fantastic paint-job, and has been professionally built; all seams have been puttied and sanded smooth, using the finest-grade modeling supplies, and the kit has been filled with foam for stability.

The Creature from the Black Lagoon has been expertly painted with enamel and acrylic paints, using a wide variety of technique; drybrushing, washes, pastels, and airbrushing were all employed. His claws, fish-eyes, and fish-mouth are coated with a high-gloss finish, and the glossy hardwood base is accented with blue, yellow and metalic green tones. Sealed for a lifetime of protection, the stunning paint-work perfectly captures the look of The Creature from the Black Lagoon, and was thoroughly researched to be as accurate as possible. A true work of art for the fan and collector of Universal Horror memorabilia!
