A fantastic Creature from the Black Lagoon pro-built model from Fantastic Illustration Art studio. This model was built and painted by award winning artist and modeler, Bruce Horton.

This Horizon hobbies original creature model stands 13 inches tall, and is mounted on a custom designed wooden detailed base which is over 13 inches in length. The model contains an acrylic airbrushed underpainting and is dry brushed for maximum detail. The model is also protected by a matt acrylic varnish which brings out the brilliant color.

The detail of this original vinyl casting is tremendous with an exact likeness of the 1950's movie creature played by Ben Chapman and Ricou Browning.

I believe this is the best rendition of the creature ever made. This model was the best of show winner in the science fiction class of the Montana Hobby Town model competition this spring of 2005. A true museum quality art piece!
