The Hirschfeld protege, avid film and TV fan and syndicated author &
illustrator hails from Toronto, Canada. Marshall Jay Kaplan¹s exceptionally
diverse creativity within the field of entertainment, has made him a unique
talent in Canada, the U.S. and Europe.
As a cartoonist, Marshall's history is amazing. His first published work was
at age 14. At age 17, he was the youngest Canadian to have a gallery showing
of his celebrity drawings. By age 20, his artwork was in syndication and was
seen by 10 million readers weekly.
Moving his talents to Los Angeles at the age of 21, he worked for years
within the entertainment community. It was here where his career flourished.

agencies, were all using his work on a promotional level.
Once back in Toronto, Marshall began to focus on the business aspect of his
career. He turned to merchandising and writing. After 5 years, his product

his family.
As always, he is thankful to the late Al Hirschfeld for his kind words and
advice over the years. Marshall resides in Thornhill (a suburb of Toronto),
Canada with is gorgeous wife and his even more gorgeous children.
