For those of you than need an introduction, this is Gort. This Robot is from the sci-fi classic The Day the Earth Stood Still. Gort was a guardian for the space alien named Klattu. There was a band from the 1970's named Klattu that had a sound that was very similar to that of the Liverpool band that rose to fame in the 1960's. It was rumored that Klattu was that other band performing under a different name.

Anyway, Klattu came to Earth to deliver a message to the people of Earth and demonstrate the power that could be unleashed if the leaders of Earth didn't stop their bickering. I am not going to spoil it for you, but Aunt Bea is in the film, as is Patrica Neal. What a hottie!

Anyway, this stamp is used but not abused. Measures 1.5" x 3.25".
