Presented here, for the first time in over 15 years, is a rare painted
resin statue of Gort, the famous metallic man from the 1951 Sci-fi
classic, "The Day the Earth Stood Still."
This handsome rendition of the Robot was produced in Italy well over
a decade ago, and marketed exclusively through Profundo Rosso, an
Italian collectibles shop owned by hard-core horror director, Dario
Argento. Gort was a limited edition of just 100 pieces, and sold as
a finished statue mounted to a wooden base. The figure stands 13"
tall, including base, is in like new condition, and comes ready to
display. You could search the galaxy and not find another one of
theses rarities.
"Klaatu Barada Nicto!"
Value: $250.
