Guy was born Armand Catalano in New York City, New York, USA on January 14th, 1924.

An actor who had many roles in films and television, portraying many different characters in movies from classical dramas like "Damon and Pythias" and "The Prince and the Pauper", to swashbucklers such as "Captain Sindbad", or the diverse "Seven Angry Men" and "I Was a Teenage Werewolf" - and already known to viewers on TV for roles in series such as "Bonanza" and "The Lone Ranger", he found lasting fame in Disney's "Zorro" in 1957 as the dashing Don Diego de la Vega/Zorro.

Guy later moved on to retain that fame through most of the 60's as Professor John Robinson, father of the first Earth family to launch into outer space (and launch television audiences into space as well), in "Lost In Space" (1964 to 1968).

Following the demise of "Lost In Space" in 1968, he did little televison work, only appearing occasionally on chat and game shows such as "Family Feud".

Later moving from the USA to Argentina to live, for the adoration of his fans there, he died there of a brain aneurism in 1989 in Buenos Aires.

Guy Williams was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2001 for his long and distinguished career in television and films.
