I received this sad news through an e-mail on September 7, 2001 from Hollywood make-up artist, William Forsche. Famous and talented make-up artist, John Chambers passed away in August of 2001. Mr. Chambers did many make-up effects during his time. Much on Irwin Allen's TV productions, such as Lost in Space. But it is his awesome work on the "Planet of the Apes" movies, that he will mostly be remembered. The make-up effects he created, will always be some of the best ever done in the entertainment business, and the work that Mr. Chambers did, effected many changes on how make-up was applied to the actors in TV and films today.

Mr. Chambers will be missed by the many people he worked with, and those that admired his talented dedication.
