Being a stamp collector for over 40 years, makes these very special to me! The first day when a postal stamp is released by the government and postmark honoring the event is called, "First Day of Issue" or First Day Covers as we collectors call them. There is usually nice artwork on the envelopes adding to the value and collectors hobby interest. The following covers are signed and honoring the original Lost in Space TV series.

Here's a unique Lost in Space collectible - From the Republique Togolaise, a first day issue (or as they more appropriately call it "Launch Date") October 16, 1997 of the Lost in Space cast stamps. I've seen the regular stamp set on eBay auctions before, but I have never seen a first day issue set!

Now, if that wasn't cool enough in and of itself, this collectible is also boldly signed by Angela Cartwright (Penny) and Bill Mumy (Will)!! Angela personally donated this item to help raise funds for the Official Angela Cartwright Fan Club and got her friend Bill Mumy to sign it, too!
