Relive the adventures of the Space Family Robinsons with this first season laser water pistol!!

The design for this water pistol was based on the Lost in Space laser pistol from the first season, but due to copyright issues with the show's producer, Irwin Allen, these pistols were never released to the public with any direct tie-in to the series. Later, after the word "Lost" was removed from the raised relief wording on the left side of the gun, the toy was released as a generic "Laser" or "Space" Water Pistol. What makes this "laser" particularly interesting is that when the water pistol was finally released for sale in the US the words "In Space" were not removed from the side of the gun. They remain as proof of the gun's LIS origins.

This fan-made replica is the painted plastic water pistol pictured. The black painted version is my own rendition of the first season laser pistol.
