I've been trying to build a diorama for every Lost in Space episode, even those not in anybody's favorites list. I decided to make this one, for A Day At The Zoo, a scene where Dr. Smith is selling tickets to the alien family which I thought was pretty funny. Also I liked this scene because we actually got to see Sandy Gimpel's face for the first time as the alien child. She was Bill Mumy's stand-in and stunt double and sometimes played other aliens as well. I couldn't have made this without Gary Stair's design and 3D printing of the figures in it, he really captures their look, even when it's as small as 1/24th scale.
