When I spoke to owner Phil Lublin at Lunar Models in 1999 regarding this kit, it was just a dream. After several phone calls to Phil, I finally got him excited about the project. In 2000 the kit became the model of the year with fans and collectors. I wanted the staff and Keeper's belt to be able to light up adding to the kit. But to keep the cost of kit affordable, Phil decided not to add that special feature to the kit.

After purchasing the #1 tooling of the kit, Phil changed the staff to a clear plastic rod. My kit has the only metal staff ever produced, making my kit very special. Phil was also very graces to include a signed COA with my kit. I cannot thank Phil Lublin enough for all the great kits his company "Lunar" has produced over the years. Phil is truly the #1 "Lost in Space" fan in the world.
