Do you know the way to San Jose? You may want to after viewing this awesome Jupiter-2 kit! After meeting model artist Rick Ratto and seeing his work, I had to have one of these for my collection. Rick's work is A+ quality, and his extra efforts hasn't gone unnotice. We have become close friends, in fact I have given Rick some of my models to work on, & to improve the over all appearance of my special diorama's. Rick spent over 10 hours on this Polar Lights kit. Painting the Jupiter-2 hull with primer, and several layers of silver for that perfect look. The photos of the interior do not do it justice. The smallest of detail and skill went into each area of this J-2. The cockpit chairs were replaced with new Skyhook chairs in keeping with the original design of the J-2.

Special decals were also used for the control panels for that special finsh touch. Lights were also added to the top dome, fushion core, elevator, & enclosed interior. Lights were added to each base of the freezing tubes. Astor Gator, ceiling, and even an opening cut out in the ladder area entering the lower level. Rick is currently working on a new Jupiter-2 for me, when completed will be one of the best J-2's ever built. I can hardy wait to see it completed, and will be posted here for all to enjoy.
