The "Space Spiders" in the 1998 Lost in Space movie are dangerous, six-legged, silicon-based, intelligent creatures found aboard the derelict ship Proteus. They are known for their ability to eat through metal, navigate in zero gravity, and, if they bite a human, cause a transformation into a hybrid monster, as seen with Dr. Smith ( Played by Gary Oldman ).
