ORIGINAL BLARP PROP HEAD #01 |
Updated: March 17, 2020
On April 2, 2002 at 6:30 Am before going to work, I was searching
eBay for new items when this great prop came up for auction. I
quickly purchase it with the "Buy it Now" policy. For many LIS fans,
the movie was a disapointment, and original props not worth
investing money in. But for me, it's apart of LIS history, and worth
collecting. Owning many props from the movie, this item nearly
completes my collection.
The item was purchase in November 2001 at the "Hum-Dinger" Toy Show
held at our local fair grounds here in San Jose. I normally attend this
event, but did not go to this particular show where two of these props
were purchased. There were two of these latex rubber heads made, this one featured was the largest of the two that were made. The actors would stand
in front of this prop, do there lines, then later special computer graphics would be added for that come alive effect on this updated space alien monkey.
The eBay seller lived only 5 minutes from my house here in San Jose. I was
invited to Chris Sereno's lovely home to pick-up my new collectible. I was in for a treat to view Chris's fantastic Hollywood memorabilia. Items such a dozen of costumes, The Flintstones movie starring John Goodman. Props from the Gladitor film. A mechanical Penguin from a Pepsi commerical. Not to mention
tons of rare photos and signatures from the stars. I cannot thank Chris enough for this terrific prop. I made a new friend on the internet. I purchase this
item on 04/12/02.
Value: $1,000-Up.
