Lost in Space ( 1998 ) - Light-up Jupiter-2 Model Miniature:

A light-up Jupiter-2 model miniature from Stephen Hopkins' sci-fi action film Lost in Space. The crew of the Jupiter-2 were on a mission to build a hypergate to travel through space when their ship was sabotaged by terrorists.

This model took nearly two months to build and is primarily made of fibreglass with machined metal components added for detail. It has been carefully hand-painted to look aged. Multiple lights across the ship, the bridge, and the engine illuminate when powered. The model is mounted on a custom-built display through the motion control mounting point in the engines at the back. Additional mounting points are located in the nose and right side. Dimensions ( model ): 62 cm x 40 cm x 15 cm ( 24 1/2" x 15 3/4" x 6" ).
