This is a fan made replica made in 2001. The prop original was used by actor Jonathan Harris ( Dr. Smith ) in the 1st episode of the LIS series. The episode was called, "The Reluctant Stowaway" and aired on CBS on September 15, 1965. This prop was used briefly when Dr. Smith was contacting his leader, "Aolus 14 Umbra".
