JUPITER-2 HATCH CONTROL BUTTONS (REPLICA) |
Updated: June 26, 2007
In 1995 I helped build the exterior of the Jupiter-2 for the
TV show "Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen". Two of the props I
created was the "hatch control button" which was used as one
of the exterior airlock controls and three dummy "hookup
holes". Both these props are made from styrene. Also shown
here are the dummy speaker panel from the front airlock.
This prop is made from wood (pressboard). This prop was
constructed specifically for FWIA and only meant to be
seen from a distance. After the show was shot, the sets went
into storage. I retained some of the smaller prop pieces that
I had made from scratch.
(*) This prop came up for bid on eBay on 6/26/7.
Value: $300.
