Costume sketch of the classic silver spacesuit for Billy Mumy in Lost in
Space. (CBS-TV, 1965-68) This costume design sketch of Will Robinson's
trademark silver spacesuit was created by artist Paul D. N. Zastunpnevich,
accomplished in gouache and ink on an 11 in. x 17 in. leaf of aritst's
drawing paper.
Beautifully rendered, the sketch features handwritten details about the
"stratospheric silver" and "meteoric red" fabrics required for the ensemble,
and is the only known sketch for this familiar costume. Matted in common
with a photo of the actor wearing the spacesuit to 22 1/2 in. x 28 in., and
ready for framing.
