This original costume was used three times on Lost in Space during it's 3 year run on CBS. The costume was used twice during season two, the first was on episode "Ghost Planet" which aired on September 28, 1966. Worn by one of those cross armed Cyborg's shuffle aliens. There were 4 different color tunics made for this episode. The tunic was then altered & shortened for Jonathan Harris ( Dr. Smith ) for the episode "Rocket to Earth" Which aired on CBS February 15, 1967. Smith becomes Zalto the Magician with special alien of the week, "Al Lewis" from the Monsters TV series. The costume was also seen in season 3 on the episode "A Day at the Zoo" which aired on November 29, 1967. It was seen briefly worn by an alien creature watching Dr. Smith promoting the zoo's next showing.

This tunic is red and black with a swirl on the center front and back. There is a stamped Western Costume Company Hollywood California #77 label in the inside. The costume is in excellent condition and sold through Sotheby's auction on December 14, 2002.

Update: This costume was also reused on Irwin Allen's TV Show "The Time Tunnel" episode called, "Raiders From Outer Space" airdate March 31, 1967.
