Maurice Evans "Dr. Zaius" costume and display from Planet of the Apes. ( TCF, 1968 ) This costume consists of a "Zaius" shirt worn by Maurice Evans in the Interrogation sequence when Taylor ( Charlton Heston ) was being interrogated. The pants are worn by James Whitmore ( another Orangutan ) who played the President of the Assembly. The costume is mounted on a custom mannequin with re-cast feet, hands and lifelike head to complete the display.
