A gorilla flag from the television series Planet of the Apes. Red flags adorned the spaces of the gorilla garrison and police headquarters throughout the series. In the second episode, "The Gladiators," Virdon ( Ron Harper ), Burke ( James Naughton ), and Galen ( Roddy McDowall ) discovered a village that utilized gladiatorial combat to keep the humans complacent, and the arena was decorated with red flags featuring gorilla heads. This prop consists of one double sided flag. It exhibits a tear in the corner, discoloration on the hoists and minor tearing with frayed fibers. Dimensions: 25" x 41" ( 63.5 cm x 104.25 cm ).
