A background gorilla costume from Ted Post's Beneath the Planet of the Apes. Astronaut ( James Franciscus ) encountered groups of super intelligent ape soldiers after he landed on a version of Earth from far in the future.

This costume a less detailed variant created for background soldiers consists of a long sleeve, button down shirt; a black leather vest with painted purple striping with a Western Costume label printed with "2431-1" with a chest marked "42;" one pair of purple cotton drawstring pants labeled "Angelica" and numbered "625DOR"; and one pair of green cotton and black leather gloves with purple painted stripes. Both the shirt and pants have faded tags on the interior with illegible faded text. This lot exhibits discoloration and faded labels.
