A gorilla soldier rifle from Ted Post's Beneath the Planet of the Apes. Ape soldiers carried crude brown rifles that resembled modified M1 Carbines throughout the film. Some of the rifles were later reused in the 1974 Planet of the Apes television series.

This rifle features a sculpted, solid wood body with a reddish brown finish, a dowel added at front and painted black to resemble a barrel, a separate metal midsection bolt and sight element painted black, and two metal brackets with a black nylon shoulder strap. It exhibits various nicks, scuffs, and scratches throughout its finish from production use and handling. Dimensions: 89 cm x 12.75 cm x 4 cm ( 35" x 5" x 1.5" ).
