Liberty 1 "Icarus" Blueprints.
A set of blueprints found at auction for the Liberty 1, aka "Icarus," from the production of Franklin J. Schaffner's PotA. The American National Space Administration ( ANSA ) spaceship Liberty or Icarus was designed by production designer Bill Creber and set designer Holdereed Maxy based on original designs for the McDonnell Douglas Winged Gemini reentry module.
These blueprints copied from the production originals originates from the collection of master model maker Greg Jein, who worked on the original Icarus models. The set depicts bird's eye, side, interior, front, and bottom views of the vessel, including several featuring earlier names for the vessel, such as "Sparrow III" and "Orion 3."
