The Planet of the Apes photos I have posted are from my personal collection. I own the negatives or the slides that they are produced from. Most of the photos are from Beneath the Planet of the Apes and are behind the scenes type photos. Many of these photos have never been seen anywhere else.

This gallery is a tribute to make-up artist John Chambers and the many talented make-up artist and crew that spent endless hours creating the Apes for these 5 films. The actors also spent long hours in the chair getting made-up before there scenes. These photos give us an inside look on what went behind the scenes and before the cameras started to roll.
