TERMINATOR-2 ORIGINAL PRE-PRODUCTION TEST HEAD |
Updated: May 28, 2024
A test head from the pre-production of the James Cameron-directed sci-fi action film Terminator 2: Judgment Day ( Tri-Star, 1991 ).
This test head is comprised of carved dense foam to resemble star Arnold Schwarenegger and features additional elements such as
faux-hair and bloodied skin with exposed robotic facial features. The base of the head contains a power pack that holds two AA batteries connected to electrical wiring that feeds through the base of the head and comes out of the back of the neck. These electrical components seemingly power the robotic eye built into the head. All electrical capabilities are untested.
Stan Winston Studios created the special make-up effects for the film, including the facial appliances for Schwarzenegger to wear as the embattled and damaged Terminator at the end of the film during his final confrontation with the T-1000 ( Robert Patrick ). Prop measures 13 x 8.5 x 8 inches.
Value: $20,000.
