An animatronic Enik the Altrusian ( John Boylan ) animatronic Sleestak head from Brad Silberling's Land of the Lost. After time warping to the Mesozoic Era, Paleontologist Dr. Rick Marshall ( Will Ferrell ), his assistant Holly Cantrell ( Anna Friel ), and their new friends Will Stanton ( Danny McBride ) and apeman Chaka ( Jorma Taccone ) encountered the ancient ruin city of the reptiloids, the Sleestaks, where they met highly intelligent Sleestak Enik the Altrusian ( John Boylan ).

In Sid and Marty Krofft's original Land of the Lost series, Enik was portrayed by a performer in special effects makeup. For the Silberling film, the beloved character was brought to life with a combination of live-action performance and state of the-art animatronics, including this highly expressive Sleestak head. Land of the Lost and Will Ferrell were nominated for Teen Choice Awards for Choice Movie: Comedy and Choice Movie Actor: Comedy respectively.

Crafted primarily from foam latex, this animatronic head features a zipper closure, fastening strips along the bottom interior seam to connect to an ensemble, and acrylic eyes. Its interior is lined with a fiberglass helmet and inset with electrical wires. These connect to servos mounted in the top of the head and around the face in order to animate various mechanical elements around the jaw and mouth.

The head comes mounted on a plaster bust labeled "5RD." The foam latex exhibits flaking throughout from production. Value: $8,000.
