Visitor Sky Fighter Filming Miniature with Deployed Landing Gear from V ( Warner Bros. TV, 1983 ). Vintage original model miniatures constructed of hollow cast resin, fiberglass, wood, and mixed-media components, expertly assembled, painted and finished with paint details and decal badging; 2-forward wing Cobalt laser barrels present, trio of green and black, locked landing gear deployed. Sky Fighters, the main war ships in the Visitors' fleet, were represented on screen by a variety of different sizes of filming miniatures. In the Sci-fi TV series, these shuttles could travel through Earth's atmosphere as well as outer space. Measuring 16" x 11" x 8.5." A prime example of the design and craft that were hallmarks of the cult classic show. Exhibiting age, production wear, and minor soiling.
