Star Trek: The Animated Series" ( 1973 to 74 ) When the original Star Trek was prematurely canceled in the 1960s, fans begged for it to come back. Their prayers were ( Sort of ) answered with this animated series, which featured the voices of the original USS Enterprise crew, and featured some new characters and aliens never seen before. For hard core Trekkers, this series is an essential bridge between the original show and the movie universe that would arrive in the late 1970's.
