( Paramount TV, 1987-1994 ). Original "Klingon" Class D-7 Battle Cruiser model miniature constructed of cast fiberglass and
resin components, expertly assembled, finished, and painted in industrial greens and browns with meticulous surface texture,
decal badging applied, and hand embellishment to the hull. Maintaining the core design by TOS art director Matt Jefferies to
echo the shape of a Manta Ray with a long-necked forward hull, command pod, and pontoon nacelles on the downturned end of
each wing. For TNG, the ship's surface detail was greatly enhanced from the Class D-7 model. While the ship was deemed a
D7 / Koro-Class Battle Cruiser, show creator Gene Rodenberry dubbed it, "K t inga-Class." This model was created by designer
and model making legend Greg Jein for the Episode, "The Emissary" and was used in later episodes. The hull separates from the
neck, which is fastened by 2-pins. The model measures 20.25" x 28" x 7". Exhibiting age and minor handling.
