Tony Young "Kryton" "Elasian" Hand Weapon and Arm Holster from Episode, "Elaan of Troyius" of Star Trek: The Original Series ( Paramount TV, 1966-1969 ). Vintage original weapon hand prop constructed of 2-piece wooden body, tooled aluminum barrel, and static buttons on the back and right-side grip. Expertly painted in industrial grays and black, with orange, yellow, and green painted buttons. The handmade prop measures 7.5" x 3" x 3" and is accompanied by a fitted holster constructed of aluminum foil, form-fitted to the shape of the hand prop and coated with orange transparent resin and black felt interior lining with attached 5" x 1.5" metallic silver fabric strap with hook and eye fastens to attach to the wearer's arm. Strap marked "T Y" ( Tony Young ) who played "Kryton", the Elasian body guard to "Elaan", the Dohlman of Elas, in this episode. Featured on page 38 in the book The Art of Star Trek by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens ( Simon and Schuster, 1995 ). Exhibiting age and production wear, including minor scuffing to paint.
