Imperial Shuttle Tydirium Small-Scale Filming Miniature from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi ( TCF, 1983 ). Original Imperial shuttle miniature created by the artists at Industrial Light & Magic for use in motion-control shots during the making of
the film. Meticulously crafted of resin and painted in shade of gray, the small-scale miniature measures 1" x 1" x .75" and is
mounted on a 2.25" heavy-gauge wire inserted on the port side of the craft. Imperial Shuttle Tydirium was captured by the Rebel Alliance and used by Hans Solo ( Harrison Ford ) and his strike team to infiltrate the forest moon of Endor and deactivate the deflector shield protecting still-under-construction Death Star. This miniature was presented to ILM model maker Kirk R. Amidano
by ILM Model Shop supervisor Lorne Peterson and comes with an LOA by Amidano. Included is a cylindrical 4.75" x 4" display case
with plaque featuring etched logo of the film. Provenance: Profiles in History Hollywood Auction #36, May 1, 2009, Lot 827.
