THE MUNSTERS COLLECTIBLES #09 |
Updated: January 26, 2024
Bursting onto screens in the early 1960s, The Munsters offered a skewed, yet hilarious, visualization of a less than wholesome
family unit. The pale and deathly-looking set of characters were loosely based on a number of popular figures from horror films,
and included: Head of the family, Herman Munster ( Fred Gwynne ); His demure wife Lily ( Yvonne DeCarlo ); Grandpa ( Al Lewis );
Herman and Lily's son, Eddie ( Butch Patrick ), and their niece Marilyn ( Beverley Owen ). Plenty of laughs were provided as the
group of misfits attempted to assimilate themselves into society, although most of the chuckles were to be found at the gag-fuelled ghouls' highly gothic-looking residence, 1313 Mockingbird Lane.
