An original 1961 concept painting for the film "VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA". I am unaware of the artist of this painting but I know this was painted in 1961 when the theme development was getting under way for the shooting of the film. The film was produced by Irwin Allen and starred Walter Pidgeon, and Peter Lorre. Later made into a TV series.

Painting was done in acrylics on hard canvas panel. With the board measuring approx. 22"x19". The painting itself measures 16"x12".

Painting is in EXCELLENT condition. A bit of the lower right portion of the board has some slight bending but nothing affecting the painting.
