Holy toot!
This is an extremely rare unused, boxed example of the 1966 Batman Bat-chute, drag-chute for bicycles; licensed and made by Poynter Products. It is marked National Periodical Publications Inc 1966, and is an extremely rare boxed and complete example. The other
really cool thing about the box and litho, is they use the logo from the television series which is also very rare of the 1966
Batman craze of products.
The parachute was intended to attach to any bicycle and would be deployed by the rider with a pull ring to aid in stopping it and
with much flourish, much like the chutes on the rear of the 1966 Batmobile. The contents are complete with instructions and unused. Some fasteners still sealed in plastic. Lithographed tin parachute holder has some scuff from time and storage but displays awesome. The box shows mild age and has some mild wear but is very solid and very attractive. I dig the pink, very striking! It is not dried
out and the parts inside are new. The paper instructions are very dry and fragile. You will look long and hard for another example
like this.
Value: $3,000.
