Hero Strobing Earth Defense Blaster from Buck Rogers in the 25th Century ( NBC, 1979-1981 ). Original futuristic blaster prop constructed of vacuum-formed plastic with clear acrylic muzzle. Embellished with metallic silver tape and seamed with black electrical tape. There is a depressible button at the trigger point of the grip for illuminating the acrylic muzzle ( electronics untested ). Used by Buck Rogers ( Gil Gerard ) and other Earth Defense forces in the Sci-Fi series. This unique, signature weapon was created for Season 1 of the series. Exhibiting age and production wear, with black tape peeling away from the prop weapon. A piece of masking tape with handwritten "Roger" is affixed on one side of the prop.
