Vintage original concept art of the inverted engine room from The Poseidon Adventure in oil paint and graphite measuring 24" x 37" on 4-ply artist board glue tipped to an archival mat measuring 28" x 40" with transparent mylar overlay. This was the setting for the film's most moving scene when Shelly Winters, as "Belle" swims underwater to save Gene Hackman's character "Reverend Scott," who cradles her afterward as she lies dying from a heart attack. Actual artwork reproduced on page 385 of "The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen" by Jeff Bond, Creature Features 2019.
