THE KEEPER FIGURE DIORAMA |
Updated: December 14, 2019
This kit will always be a very special piece close to my heart & my collection. Phil Lublin previous owner of Lunar Models supported me on this new project 2 years ago, when I first discussed the dream of this kit as a new line of "Lost in Space" models in the future. After much discussion I got Phil so excited that the kit was finish and ready for purchase within the next year.
I met Phil and the artist Ron Gearing at the Mad Model show in Pasadena Convention center in the summer of 2000. This was a thrill for me, and to see the fans seeing this kit on display & purchase was well worth the effort in getting this project completed. I own the very first kit sold by Lunar, and the staff was changed into a solid clear plastic.
Michael Rennie did a fantastic job as the character role of The Keeper. This two part episode aired on CBS on January 12, 1966, and remains a TV Sci-Fi favorite from the classic "Lost in Space" TV series. Actor Michael Rennie is also well know for his performance in, "The Day the Earth Stood Still 1950's film classic. Michael's first work with Irwin Allen was his film, "The Lost World".
These NEW photo's include special lighting effects courtesy of Ken Woo of Cupertino, California. (Note the red beam on the Keeper's staff and belt areas).
Value: $400.
