A cryo flight suit ensemble worn by Matt LeBlanc as Major Don West in the film version of Lost in Space ( New Line Cinema, 1998 ).
This three piece ensemble is comprised of a chest piece, pants, and pair of boots. The base element of the chest piece and pants is black neoprene. Silver-tone and black painted foam and cast resin elements are affixed over the neoprene. These pieces contain
zippers, Velcro, and metal fasteners to secure together. The chest piece and pants feature cotton lining on the inside. Electrical wiring is present inside of both the chest piece and the pants in order to power lights within the resin elements on the ensemble. These electrical capabilities are untested. The chest piece and pants contain tags on the inside that read, "Don West - 6." The
boots are altered No Name brand shoes with black neoprene, foam, and zippers added to appear futuristic. Inside of both boots are
tags that read, "Matt - 1 / Don - 43." Written in blue marker on the interior cotton lining of the pants is, "Matt."
This cryo flight suit ensemble can be seen by all members of the Jupiter Mission, including all members of the Robinson family, when they are put in suspended cryogenic sleep as they embark into space.
