Original full-head chimpanzee background mask from Planet of the Apes. ( TCF, 1968 ) This original full-head chimpanzee background mask is made of latex with original hand-set hair, and still retains the original Velcro backflap. In absolutely pristine condition! This mask was acquired directly from the family of Dan Streipeke, the make-up department supervisor who worked directly underneath John Chambers on the film. Full chimp masks are exceedingly rare, and this superb example, in mint and virtually unused condition, is especially desirable. A fantastic artifact from the film.
