Hero Starfleet Communicator from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock ( Paramount, 1984 ). Vintage original Communicator hand prop constructed of vacuum-formed plastic body with flip-up brass grill, acrylic screen with reflective mylar backing, and clear plastic buttons with colored gel detailing. The back is held in place by a screw and the back also retains a plug port for a small jack. An on / off toggle switch is located on the right side of the 4.5" x 2.25" x 1" prop to illuminate the device. Electronics are untested. Exhibiting age and production wear.
