Starfleet Communicator from Star Trek: The Original Series ( Paramount TV, 1966-1969 ). Vintage original Starfleet Communicator prop constructed of 2-piece heavy vacuum-formed, textured black ABS plastic shell bisected by a tooled aluminum seam plate, with brass metal round hinges and vented flip-screen, which opens to reveal an aluminum mid-plate featuring foil mesh mic grill and 2-stud buttons, a round moiré-patterned bezel, and 3-posts containing 3-faceted gem lights with 1-rose, 1-red, 1-blue, between the bezel and the mid-plate. Retaining a 1.75" x 3" patch of black male velcro for attaching the communicator to a costume. The iconic, instantly recognizable hand prop measures 4.25" x 2.5" x 1.25". Exhibiting age, production wear, minor oxidization and some flaking to moire pattern face.
