Terran Empire Hero Dagger from Episode, "Mirror, Mirror" of Star Trek: The Original Series ( Paramount TV, 1966-1969 ). Vintage original "Mirror Universe" Empire prop hero dagger constructed of carved wooden grip and pommel finished in metallic blue paint, tooled aluminum notched blade and crossguard, and carved wooden sheath with leather belt loop for attaching to belt on costumes. Highly visible worn on the gold sashes of the alternate universe Starship Enterprise crewmembers. The 11" x 2.5" x 1" dagger prop exhibits age, production wear and some chipping to wooden grip and rubbing to paint surfaces. The leather belt loop on the verso of the sheath is detached at one end. Exhibited at the legendary Star Trek: The Exhibit at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, Washington, D.C., February 1992 through January 1993.
